ARC Probes are easy to overlook when a match is filled with other activities, but they can be valuable for Weekly Trials. Each week offers five challenges, and the score from these objectives can unlock Uncommon, Rare, and Epic crates. Players working on ARC Raiders BluePrints can also use probe runs as a reason to explore less frequently visited parts of the map.

ARC Probes become especially efficient when you combine their spawn patterns with favorable map conditions. The objective itself is simple, but knowing when to pursue it can make a big difference.

Learn the Signs of an Untouched Probe

The easiest sign of a landed, unlooted probe is its thick black smoke plume. From ground level, the smoke can sometimes be hidden behind terrain, but from a ridge or other high location it becomes much easier to spot.

I like to spend the first part of the match looking for elevation instead of immediately committing to a direction. Once you are somewhere with a broad view, scan for smoke and listen for the distinctive audio cues associated with probes.

Remember that the black smoke disappears after a probe has been fully interacted with. If you are following a probe-focused route, visible smoke is therefore a useful indication that the location may still be worth checking.

Get the Points Without Waiting Around

There is no need to turn every probe into a lengthy breach. For the Weekly Trial objective, interacting with and looting the probe provides the relevant progress. This is useful when you are trying to complete several objectives without spending an entire match in one location.

Make sure you also walk around the probe before leaving. Landed probes can have three searchable sides, and each available section can contribute toward your progress. It only takes a few extra seconds to check the whole object, but those extra interactions can help you reach your target faster.

Pick the Right Conditions

The biggest improvement to probe farming comes from choosing the right map condition. Major Map Conditions such as Electromagnetic Storms, Night Raids, and Cold Snaps provide a 2x point multiplier.

Electromagnetic Storms can be particularly effective because probes may spawn much more densely, with clusters of three sometimes appearing in the same general area. Combining that higher density with the 2x multiplier can dramatically reduce the number of probes needed.

For a three-star target of 4,000 points, two or three well-chosen probes can often be enough under the right conditions. That is considerably more efficient than trying to complete the same objective during an ordinary map state.

Use Visibility to Your Advantage

Dam Battlegrounds around Red Lakes is one location worth checking when you want to make probe hunting the main purpose of a run. A higher concentration of possible spawns means less time spent traveling between unrelated locations.

Bluegate is another interesting option during Cold Snap. Snow makes black smoke particularly noticeable, so players positioned on high ground can often identify probes before getting close. The ridges between Ancient Fort and Broken Earth provide useful sightlines for scanning the surrounding landscape.

I would still avoid treating these areas as guaranteed spawn points. The practical advantage comes from visibility and route efficiency rather than assuming that every match will place probes in exactly the same locations.

Leave Before the Run Becomes Risky

A successful Trial run can be ruined by one unnecessary decision after reaching the target. Your Trial Points can be lost if you die before extraction, so the safest approach is to treat the three-star threshold as your signal to leave. If you are already carrying useful loot, there is even more reason not to wander around looking for one more probe. Turn Probe Hunting Into a Routine

The best probe strategy does not require complicated mechanics. Watch for smoke, use sound when visibility is poor, search all available sides, and wait for a Major Map Condition when you want to maximize your points. Once you have enough Trial Score, focus on extraction. A short, planned run can give you the progress you need while leaving plenty of time for other activities during the week.
